Testimonials about Dorothy, Kirt, and Eric

Dorothy

Dorothy embodies the true meaning of persistence. There are songs about don’t back down and don’t give up but she was the original inspiration.

Ms. Ainsworth also embodies the meaning of courage and tenacity. I seriously doubt she will ever grasp how much of an inspiration she has been to me and to others who are fortunate enough to have discovered her.

Dorothy

I just finished watching the last DVD of your series and I kept thinking WOW Dorothy is pretty KICK ASS! I can’t believe what she is doing, or WOW, how did she figure out how to do that, that is brilliant! Your DVDs are ones that can be watched over and over again and see new things each time.

I can’t really say enough about how impressed I am with your “drive”.  Women like you are rare and extraordinary!  I give you all my respect.

Thank you for sharing your attitude and knowledge with the world. I see you as a role model for myself and for self-reliance and empowerment.

Dorothy

The scope of your vision alone, your dream to have your own place, built with your own hands, that you don’t owe a fortune to the bank for, is, in itself, awe-inspiring. Then throw in the fact that you actually carried it out, the way you did, is unimaginable to me.

Dorothy

You are truly an inspiration and a hot mama too! Some of that footage of you building … woo hoo!!

Kirt

The film footage brings to life the reality and magnitude of your Herculean endeavor. Watching Kirt toss those logs around was very impressive as was the way you too handled them and your many other tasks.

You did a marvelous job building, rebuilding and capturing the essence of your epic journey!

Kirt

Holy moly, you worked like a dog on that project, but always with a smile! Amazing that you guys would work a full shift then come home and do that. The gym scenes were crazy too, man, Kirt could pump weights!

Kirt

I was chuckling at Kirt throwing big logs around as if they were toothpicks and casually throwing pieces of plywood on top of the house! I can’t even pick up a piece of plywood by myself! Maybe you and Kirt knew each other in a previous life where you were both helping build the pyramids in Egypt! Ha!

Kirt

I watched your last disc last night. Wow, some heavy lifting going on, I mean it starts off with Kirt lifting 400 lb beams! Not to mention 16 inch diameter logs!

Eric

Eric’s piano pieces added a touch I can’t describe. He is fantastic. Such a master. Really added a lot.  Glad you chose to do documentation back then. Gives you an element of immortality that few have.

Eric

Beautiful that you put Eric’s playing in there, he has such a gift. I was blown away watching him play, especially when he would cross his hands and keep going. Unbelievable talent!

I could watch Eric playing the piano all day long, he is an amazing and gifted musician and composer. I particularly like his composition “Millenium Ballet”. There are points where it sounds like you have Emerson, Lake, and Palmer on the soundtrack.

Eric

The music is perfect! It adds so much. I’m glad you also have the sounds of drills and saws in the background. Malaguena was one of the favorite pieces.
